We were there for the Holiday Road event. Overall it was pretty darn cool. They had some displays that you don't see at other holiday light events. I think that the pictures speak for themselves. Love that there were food trucks and bars set up on the premise as well. Always a plus in our books.
Went for the Halloween event, Nights of the Jack. Nice easy hike viewing pumpkins in all different views. There are pumpkins, lights, music and even bubbles. Lots to see and enjoy.
I went to the Halloween 2022 event and had a good time. I liked it more than my 2023 experience at Descanso Gardens Halloween event. I decided to give the holiday 2023 event a try this year, and my experience was ok. I arrived at 5:30 and it was not busy which I enjoyed. It allowed my family and I to walk around at our own pace. It was decorated nicely, and I would recommend this as a family activity or a cute date night idea. They have two bars available, one when you first enter the trail and another bar mid through the trail. They have both non alcoholic drinks like hot chocolate and also hot apple cider to take with you and keep you warm as you walk on the trail. Alcoholic drinks start around 16 to 17 plus. Also, before you hit the walk through trail, there are a variety of food trucks to choose from there. Overall, I don't think I would repeat the holiday event, but it is definitely at least worth a one-time try . I, however, would repeat the Halloween event . Both are family-friendly. If you are interested in either event be sure to look out for early bird specials.
First time going to Gillette Ranch to see the light show for Christmas. We had a great time and it was awesome all my granddaughters enjoyed it. I went twice and it could be pricey very well worth it I'm not the Grinch no more.We all can't wait till next year.
It was a lovely walk with the kids to see some festive lights that's all inclusive. Food trucks and the Bar had great selection.
First time at this place and it was worth our drive from orange county California. Hopefully next year we can go at night time and get to see how amazing it looks in the dark. During the day it's free entrance and parking.
We went for the pumpkin carving festival... Very beautiful and clever. Definitely kid friendly. It took about 45 minutes to walk through it.
My friend and I went to the Rose Day LA held there. The event was decorated very well as the pics will show but there were definitely a lot of things very wrong at the event. The parking situation was pure chaos. The grounds were uneven & the grass was dead. I have been here before so knew to wear proper shoes but many woman wore heels, wedges and platforms. Lots of almost fallen & stuck in dirt ppl at this event. There was supposed to be a famous chef to provide food plus a dessert table and nothing was present. Food trucks were there but not very friendly outdoor on a hot day kind of food. Oysters & poke, really? The Rose wasn't cold which everyone knows it should always be. The bathrooms available were great and clean. For a $175 this event was absolutely NOT worth it. IMO don't makes promises you can't keep. Consider a refund for the inconvenience?!
